I'm afraid I can't talk about everything that's going on right now, but I can say that there will be a lot of visual changes in the near future. New logo, new site, and even a mobile version for the smartphone-equipped among us. Stay tuned!
Design. The first step in producing the design, as with any well-executed process, is to analyze the needs of your organization and the wants of your particular audience. For some reason, this critical first step is often overlooked by those less experienced in the field. We know better. That first step determines the direction in which you travel, and, with extensive communication and thorough planning, we make sure no missteps are had.
Once these things have been determined, we set off using the latest and greatest from Adobe to produce the first-draft website mockup. This we present to the client for feedback, which we take into careful consideration as we make our first round of revisions. These steps are repeated until the client is fully satisfied with the design, at which point we move into...
Development. This is the real meat and potatoes here. The design is now deconstructed into its most base parts on its way to becoming a full-blown, CSS-based, standards-compliant website. The XHTML/CSS layout is produced with careful forethought in order to maximize efficiency and decrease loading times, not to mention ensure maximum forward-compatibility as web browsers continue to advance.
At this time the inner-workings of the website are also being assembled. We are constantly researching new ways to make our sites as innovative and efficient as possible, making good use of the latest in web technology. Our clever integration of PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript/AJAX combined with a time-saving content management system make sure that our solution allows you as much freedom as possible in expanding and maintaining your web site.
Yes, you maintain your own site. Sure, if you need something major, you can certainly call on us, but changing content? Creating forms? Adjusting the entire navigational structure of your site? You can do all of that yourself with an intuitive content management system built right in. No need to pay monthly maintenance charges, no waiting on turnaround times when you've got time-sensitive updates to make. You just log in, change what you want, and save. The changes will be immediately available to the viewing public, and you can feel good knowing that you are in control of your web presence.
Marketing. Okay, all the above's quite well and good, but what part's missing? Oh, right, people actually visiting the site. Don't worry, we've got that covered, too. We can optimize your site with keywords, page descriptions, page-specific titling, and intelligent content editing to make sure that major search engines like Google have their eye on your site when your potential clients are out searching. This process is called search engine optimization, or "SEO," and we'll work with you on it to make sure it accurately represents you and your business to those looking for it
Now, an issue that is sometimes run across after a whole new site's been made -- what with its fancy new paint job and refreshed branding -- is that you may find that little paper rectangle you hand out to suddenly seem out of place next to the new site. Fortunately, we can put together some new business cards for you, too! And getting cards designed by Vector Bridge supports the printing industry in downtown Cleveland, so what's there to lose? An outdated card, that's what.
And that's that! With Vector Bridge you get a new web site controlled by an easy-to-use content management system, tailored especially for your needs by two good friends with years of experience in the business. You can rest assured that every detail we provide is the result of careful collaboration and fine-tuned familiarity, so the process progressess linearly and naturally toward the goals we've created with you.
I'm afraid I can't talk about everything that's going on right now, but I can say that there will be a lot of visual changes in the near future. New logo, new site, and even a mobile version for the smartphone-equipped among us. Stay tuned!
Portfolio enhancments and additions are on their way this week!
Brendan and I launched a new site at Zorebo the other day. Success! They've sill got some new features being implemented in these early launch days (Flash, namely), but they said they were good to deploy as the site stood then, so who are we to try to convince them otherwise? Head on over to the portfolio to check out Sagamore Hills Animal Hospital, or click that link right there to see it in action.
Hey all, just dropping by to put a few more screenshots and descriptions in the portfolio. Not trying to pat our backs here, but there are a lot of sites to add, haha.
